Introduction
Founded in 1929, Louis Erard is a watchmaker that is filled with heritage and history. Acquired in the 1990s before it was relaunched during the independent watchmaking boom of the early 2000s, in 2003, the brand has established a strong design language that doesn't break the bank. Since then, Louis Erard has built a passionate customer base that continues to grow thanks to the popularity and success of their collaborative projects and impressive individual exploits. Arguably, one of their most successful collaborations was with Label Noir, the famed watch design studio, in 2022. Boasting an all-black aesthetic, this timepiece features a blacked-out 42mm stainless steel case with a black dial and black strap with only sparing pops of color across the dial in the form of a green seconds hand and green for Label Noir’s logo. Additionally, the strap also features green stitches that help bring the whole design together as a cohesive unit. Finally, the all-green movement serves as the final hint of green, albeit it is only viewable through its exhibition caseback. Limited to just 178 units, this is a stealthy release that will fly under the radar of most collectors not only due to its design, but also due to its extreme rarity.
