Introduction
First released in 1994 as Lange & Söhne's prototypical dress watch, the Saxonia has had an undeniable air of elegance, sophistication, and stunning design baked into its aesthetic since it first made its way onto the wrists of watch collectors. Since then, the collection has evolved to include some of the most stunning dress watches around, much like the ref. 105.021 that we have here. Crafted from 18k yellow gold and featuring a stunning symmetrical champagne dial with Lange & Söhne's signature outsize date complication and a small seconds subdial to boot, the Saxonia is a refined design of utter elegance and decorum. Sporting an exhibition caseback, the Saxonia ref. 105.021 proudly displays its immaculately finished manual-wind movement – perhaps one of Lange's most esteemed features. Considered to be one of the ultimate dress watches, it doesn't take too long to figure out why collectors hold Lange & Söhne to such high regard - their watches are simply incredible.

THE DIAL
With its monochromatic champagne dial, the Saxonia's matching gold steel hands and black oversized date display are wonderfully stylish as they combine with the dial to complement the Saxonia's luxurious 18kt yellow gold construction.

THE MOVEMENT
Powering the Saxonia is Lange's cal. L941.3 movement. With its immaculate 3/4 German silver baseplate, hand-engraved balance cock, and incredible blend of finishing techniques, it is no surprise watch collectors love the Glashutte giants as much as they do.

TIMING MACHINE READOUT
This reading was taken (crown down) with a ONEOF Accuracy Boutique Edition timing machine at time of cataloging. It is provided as a courtesy only, and shall not be construed as a warranty or guarantee of any kind. Please refer to our terms and conditions of sale for more information.
Condition
The watch is in overall excellent condition. The yellow gold case has some light scratches and a few light nicks on the bezel. The display case back has very well-defined engravings and hallmarks around the edge. The Lange signed winding crown has some wear around the edge. The white dial is in excellent condition, with very clean yellow gold hands. The watch is fitted with an alligator DeLugs strap with a yellow gold Lange buckle in excellent condition. Comes complete with box and papers and a spare strap.
Please Note: Due to CITES considerations, if the watch is to be shipped outside of the USA, the exotic skin strap will have to be removed.
Our Perspective
Regarded just as highly as the Holy Trinity in terms of quality, attention to detail, and overall horological excellence, it is only a matter of time before the wider watchmaking community begins to see the actual value Lange & Söhne and their offerings represent. This "Neo-Vintage" Lange Saxonia has increasingly become coveted by collectors for its Teutonic good looks and perfect size and proportions.
