The Fact Sheet
01. Browse & Save
New watch auctions are added daily. As a member, you can browse all the listings or narrow your focus by filtering results based on personal preferences. You can also add any watch (current or completed listings) to your favorites, making it easy to manage your personal selections.
02. Vetting Process
Each lot is meticulously scrutinized and vetted by our team of experienced watch experts, ensuring that every watch on Loupe This is collector worthy. A detailed description of the condition of each watch is included in its listing.
Bidding on a watch is easy and secure. Once you are signed in to your account and have fully set up your payment information, simply click the “Bid Now” button and enter the amount that you wish to bid.
Bidders pay a 10% commission on top of the ‘hammer’ price.
Each listing will feature a comments section that allows the Loupe This community of watch aficionados, collectors and enthusiasts to offer their opinion on each lot. Interested bidders can engage in discussion and seek advice from the community, gaining additional insights and knowledge. In the end however, each watch goes to the highest bidder!
05. Two Minute Rule
At Loupe This, we believe that the clock stops when the bidding stops. We adhere to a “Two Minute Rule”, meaning that in the last two minues of each sale, a subsequent bid will extend closing time by an additional two minutes. The auction closes when those two minutes have elapsed with no further bids.
If you are the successful high bidder, your credit card will automatically be charged an amount up to the entire 10% buyer’s fee. A maximum of $10,000 will be automatically charged, with the balance (if any) of the buyer’s fee to be noted on the final invoice. At this point, you will receive an emailed invoice with payment instructions on how to complete the transaction. Included in the invoice will be shipping and insurance costs, as well as any taxes we are obligated to collect. Based on shipping address, you may be liable for additional taxes and/or duties. Please refer to our conditions of sale for more information.
All payments are due within 7 days of invoicing, and can be made via wire transfer or credit card (up to $50k , with a 3% surcharge. There is no surcharge on the portion of the buyers fee automatically collected at the end of the sale).
