Introduction
Founded in 2015 in Glasgow, Scotland, AnOrdain has no right to have had the impact on independent watchmaking that they have, and yet in recent years the brand has gone from strength to strength as one of the industry’s best dial makers. Famed for their hand-enamelled dials, all of which are created by their in-house team of artisans, AnOrdain has become one of the hottest micro-brand names in all of horology. Combining their creative talents with those of one of the biggest names in horology, Hodinkee, the Scottish watchmaker and the online publication created the Model 3 Hodinkee edition, a limited series of just 25 pieces that feature Hodinkee’s signature gray for its sunburst dial, and AnOrdain’s third watch design, the Model 3. Measuring 39mm in diameter, made of stainless steel and powered by the Sellita cal. SW300, the resulting timepiece is a stunning expression of artisanal craftsmanship in its purest form.

THE DIAL
Boasting a hand-engraved sunburst pattern that took over 100 hours of work per dial, the Model 3 Hodinkee edition features one of AnOrdain's most labor-intense dials yet.
THE CONSTRUCTION
Created with the specific intention of showcasing as much of the dial as possible, the Model 3's 39mm case features a thin bezel and hollow lugs to ensure none of the watch's construction draws attention away from the dial at its centre.
