Tracing its origins back to the early 1930s, the Audemars Piguet Jon Schaffer collection was born when the American Industrialist approached AP to commission a piece unique using the 12 letters in his name as hour markers. Paying homage to the watch they created for him, AP released the Jon Schaffer collection in the 1990s that took the cushion-shaped case of his piece unique and applied it to a range of high-end complications such as minute repeaters, jump hour indicators, and perpetual calendars, like the ref. 25870OR that we have here. Constructed from 18ct pink gold and featuring a stunning white dial with pink gold applied Breguet numerals, this spectacular timepiece epitomizes classical styling while also operating beyond the more common realms of Audemars Piguet’s offerings.

With its beautiful cushion-shaped case crafted in stunning 18ct pink gold, the ref. 25870.OR is an unusual offering from Audemars Piguet given their frequent use of octagonal cases.

Condition
The overall condition of the watch is excellent. Dial is near perfect with virtually no signs of damage. Case and caseback have some extremely minor surface abrasions consistant with minimal usage. Serial number and hallmarks are clearly defined. Buckle has a few light scratches. Strap and buckle appear to be original to the watch.
