Introduction
Named after Jules Audemars, one of Audemars Piguet's founders, the Jules Audemars family is a stunning dress watch collection that typically features complications. First produced in the 1980s during the tail-end of the Quartz Crisis, the Jules Audemars Chronograph ref. 28644BA was released as means for Audemars Piguet to celebrate the re-emergence of mechanical watchmaking. With a large case diameter of 40.5mm and forged from 18k yellow gold, the movement is powered by the stunning JLC-base cal. 2126 automatic caliber.

Condition
Watch is in very good original condition. The case has areas of oxidation to the gold, indicating a lack of use for sometime but can easily be cleaned. With crisp hallmarks and case numbers to the case back. The 30-minute and 12-hour subsidiary dials with faint discoloration in the centre post by the hands. The date indicator is slightly oxidised. Light surface scratches on crystal. Strap is a later replacement, buckle is original.
Please Note: Due to CITES considerations, if the watch is to be shipped outside of the USA, an alternative leather strap to the existing exotic version, shall be provided.
Our Perspective
An elegant watch that features every aspect of fine watchmaking that made Audemars Piguet who they are today, the Jules Audemars is a stunning reminder of what happens when AP blends their impeccable craftsmanship with classical aesthetics.
