Introduction
Representing AP’s very roots as a traditional watchmaker, the Jules Audemars collection has often been AP’s vehicle to demonstrate their innovative talents as one of horology’s best watchmakers. Launched in 1991, the Jules Audemars Tourbillon, for example, was the world’s first automatic tourbillon wristwatch. While that was certainly an impressive feat, it wasn’t enough for AP and so they even fit the ref. 25718PT with a power reserve subdial and pointer date subdial at 9 and 3 o’clock, respectively. Featuring a stunning symmetrical white dial, the ref. 25718PT’s display features a large tourbillon aperture with a metal surround that is then balanced by the hour and minutes subdial that sits atop the display at 12 o’clock. Housed within a perfectly symmetrical 39mm 950 platinum case with teardrop lugs and a hidden winding crown on the caseback that results in the ref. 25718PT being all the more refined and elegant on the wrist.

Our Perspective
A technically impressive timepiece when it was first launched, and still to this day, the ref. 25718 reinforced AP's high-watchmaking prowess with its incredible complications and well-executed construction.
