Launched in the early 2010s as an iced-out version of the Royal Oak Chronograph, the ref. 26068BC that we have here remains faithful to the original release’s aesthetic with a robust 39mm case, but made in 18kt white gold and boasting an entirely diamond pave-set construction with the Royal Oak’s iconic integrated lug design for its leather strap with the very same angular design for its winding crown translated over onto its chronograph pushers. Featuring a stunning diamond pave-set dial with three mother-of-pearl subdials and a date complication, along with a diamond-set bezel, the ref. 26068BC speaks to the Royal Oak Offshore’s fan-favourite aesthetic but with a luxurious twist. Sporting sapphire-set hour markers that preserve its functionality and highlight its sense of luxury, the ref. 26068BC is an endearing combination of design details that make for a rather unique timepiece that builds on the Royal Oak Chronograph’s foundation to create something truly special.

The watch is in overall excellent condition. The exposed parts of the white gold case show some scratches and nicks, though the case remains well defined. All diamonds and their settings on the case and dial are in excellent condition. The case back is very clean, with only a couple of light scratches and very crisp engravings and hallmarks. The pavé diamond and sapphire-set dial is near-mint, with no cracks in the mother-of-pearl sub-dials. The hands are very clean. The watch is fitted with an Audemars Piguet rubber strap in excellent condition and a white gold deployant clasp with surface scratches.

A thoroughly capable timepiece, the Royal Oak Chronograph takes the Royal Oak's legendary platform and uses it as the foundation for a watch that is even sportier, and in the case of the ref. 26068BC, even more luxurious.
