Introduction
Launched in 2002 as a enlarged and even more complicated version of the Royal Oak Chronograph, the ref. 25977ST that we have here remains faithful to the Royal Oak collection, but with an over-sized 44mm stainless steel case and an impressive suite of complications. Featuring a stainless steel construction with the Royal Oak’s iconic integrated bracelet and the very same angular design for its winding crown translated over onto its chronograph pushers, the ref. 25977ST.OO.1205ST.01’s construction is unmistakable as a Royal Oak. Powered by the automatic cal. 2889, the ref. 25977ST features a blue Grande Tapisserie dial with white subdials for its chronograph and a large aperture at 6 o’clock that reveals its tourbillon. Sporting blue hour markers that preserve its functionality and highlight its sense of design cohesiveness, the ref. 25977ST is an endearing combination of design details that make for a rather unique timepiece that builds on the Royal Oak Chronograph’s foundation to create something truly special.
