A truly iconic watch, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore has grown into being one of the most sought after watches around in today’s market. Partly fuelling the Royal Oak Offshore’s appeal over the years has been AP’s ability to insert it into various different places within culture and various hobbies. From the wrist of actors in movies, on musicians in music videos, on celebrities at fancy events, on triumphant athletes at award ceremonies, the Offshore has been there and done it all, and the model we have here celebrates another moment of triumph, the Geneva-based Alinghi sailing team’s 2003 America's Cup victory. Released in 2003, which was also the Royal Oak Offshore’s 20th anniversary, the Royal Oak Offshore Dual Time Alinghi Commemorative edition that we have here was a limited edition launch of 1000 pieces paying homage to Alinghi’s winning ways. Featuring a decorative numbered caseback as well as a unique black dial featuring red accents and a red Alinghi logo inside the pointer-date subdial at 2 o’clock, this Offshore Dual Time is obviously special. Sitting on a titanium bracelet to match its case, this brilliantly versatile timepiece measures in at 42mm which coincidentally wears smaller than one might imagine thanks to how light this piece is on the wrist.

Watch is in excellent overall condition. Case shows minor signs of wear, with a few visible hairlines on the bezel, as well as some similar hairlines and marks along the case, caseback and bracelet. The dial is near-mint with little to no signs of aging or wear. Bracelet shows little to no stretch, with 19 links, 6 of which are removable. The watch fits an approx 8" wrist. Watch is accompanied by its original hangtag.

Another feather in the cap of the Offshore with regards to its lineage as a watch with its finger on the pulse of pop culture, sports, and the arts, the Offshore Dual Time Alinghi edition reminds us of AP's dedication to celebrating their ambassadors whenever they get the opportunity.
