Introduction
Debuting in 1993 to a shocked Baselworld, the Royal Oak Offshore was designed to expand upon Audemars Piguet's ever-iconic Royal Oak collection as a genuine sports-focused timepiece that took the reins from the Royal Oak. Designed so that it could take some serious wear and tear while continuing to perform at the highest standards possible, the Royal Oak Offshore epitomized a luxury sports watch by all accounts – a sector within the market it has grown to define. Featuring AP's artisanal craftsmanship like always, avant-garde design, and an impeccable taste for the horological, the Royal Oak Offshore was, and still is, a true maverick amongst both; AP’s offerings and the entire industry's. Sporting all of the Royal Oak Offshore’s most iconic features, with the exception of its bracelet, the ref. 25807ST breaks from the famed sports watch collection’s DNA through the use of its unique dial layout. While its dial uses the Royal Oak’s signature ‘Petite Tapisserie’ texture, it also features a triple date complication, as its name suggests, through neighboring day and month apertures at 12 o'clock and a pointer date display. Furthermore, it also features a running seconds subdial – another detail that we seldom see in any member of the Royal Oak family.

THE DIAL
With its tropicalised dial and unique triple calendar arrangement, the ref. 25807ST's display is unlike the majority of Royal Oak Offshore models that we have seen Audemars Piguet create during the Offshore's production.

THE CONSTRUCTION
Featuring a 38mm stainless steel case with most of the Royal Oak Offshore's typical design, the ref. 25807ST's construction will be rather familiar to the AP collectors, but with a unique dial layout and unusual size that combine to create something special.

TIMING MACHINE READOUT

Condition
Watch is in overall excellent condition. The steel case shows surface scratches and light nicks. The case back has surface scratches and retains well-defined engravings, with some wear visible to the screw heads. The tapisserie dial has aged to a brown hue, with brown spotting visible on the chapter ring and small seconds register. The luminous material on the dial has darkened, as has the lume in the otherwise clean hands. The steel bracelet shows light surface marks and negligible play between the links. The bracelet is fitted with 15 links, 3 of which are removable, and fits approximately a 7” wrist.
Our Perspective
An interesting timepiece from within the Royal Oak Offshore collection, the ref. 25807ST is a splendidly unique offering from Audemars Piguet as they blend high horology with a sports watch, resulting in an interesting timepiece indeed.
