Introduction
Released in 1998 and produced for only a short six-year period, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore ref. 25721TI is a rare variant of the legendary Royal Oak Offshore collection for several reasons. Besides its birthright heritage as Audemars Piguet's first true luxury sports watch designed for a young athletic clientele, the ref. 25721TI features the first titanium case and bracelet in the collection and serves to capitalize on the market position that brands selling titanium watches had found themselves in. Made in collaboration with case-maker Donze Baume, the Offshore's titanium case provided a welcomed boost for wearers thanks to it making the watch lighter, but also ensuring that AP's hard work to polish the bracelet's several bevels, the cases' edges, and get the perfect surface finish throughout everywhere else did not go to waste as it has indeed held up well.

Featuring a rubberized crown, pushers and a thicker gasket underneath its bezel, the Royal Oak Offshore was designed to comfortably tackle precarious environments and match the sporty lifestyles of its owners.
THE DIAL
A stunning two-tone grey dial with blue subdials, the Royal Oak Offshore ref. 25721TI's dial features AP's beautiful signature hobnail 'Petite Tapisserie' pattern. This is a rarity in the Offshore collection as it has since been replaced by the larger 'Grande Tapisserie' pattern.

Condition
The overall condition is very good. Bezel has several scratches as shown in the images, however bezel and case are very sharp and show no indication of previous polishing. Dial is mint, with an attractively faded tone to the blue. Caseback and bracelet have extremely light hairline scratches, and bracelet exhibits no signs of stretch. Bracelet can accomodate up to a 7" wrist.
Our Perspective
With its light titanium construction, beautiful two-tone 'Petite Tapisserie' dial, and rich history as AP's first true luxury sports watch, the Royal Oak Offshore ref. 25721TI is certainly a stunning timepiece that we will be sad to see go.
