Audemars Piguet Two Color Gold Day Date Bracelet Watch

How do I bid? Start here

Introduction

Famed for their Royal Oak and its sibling collections, Audemars Piguet is a brand that watchmaking aficionados often overlook when considering their vintage offerings. However, while the Royal Oak and AP’s other collections are iconic, AP also has a vast quantity of other amazing collections from across their history, one of which is this Day-Date, the ref. 25573BA. With their long and distinguished history of making some of the world’s most exquisite dress watches, this Day-Date plays to that heritage but with a deft touch of elegance and craftsmanship. Launched in 1983 and featuring an automatic movement, this elegant 33mm timepiece sports a white dial with two pointer subdials at 3 and 9 o’clock, displaying the day and date functions which are controlled by Audemars Piguet’s cal 2224/2810 automatic movement with its convenient quickset mechanism. Sitting on its incredibly unique two-tone wicker basket bracelet, this example is as rare as it is stunning, with its intricate construction requiring far more work than brands are typically willing to put into their timepiece’s physical constructions these days.
