Following the opening of Dubai-based retailer Perpétuel in 2020 with its first limited-edition collaboration, a pair of watches from Baltic, the duo have decided to collaborate on another limited-edition trio of timepieces to mark UAE's 50th anniversary; the aptly named UAE 50th Anniversary Titanium Collection. As its name suggests, these three timepieces are constructed from titanium, which marks the first time the vintage-inspired watchmaker has ventured outside of stainless steel. Offered as part of the set of three, Baltic has created a time-only model called the HMS, standing for hours, minutes and seconds, using a 38mm case. Maintaining Baltic’s use of vintage-inspired aesthetics, the timepiece features a hesalite crystal and a two-toned aspect such as its black and rose-gold dial. Just like the other two models in the collection, the HMS also features the use of Eastern-Arabic script in its dial, as one might expect. A fitting tribute to Perpétuel’s home, this stunning timepiece showcases the incredible talents found within the French watchmaker’s design team, and the beautiful timepiece retailers and brands can create when they collaborate.
