Founded in 2012 in Shenzhen, China, Behrens was founded by a group of young watchmaking enthusiasts who shared a vison for expressing time itself through a variety of mechanical structures that had never been seen before. Since then, over the last 13 years, Behrens has made a name for itself through its unique watches that combines unique aesthetics with fantastical mechanics, resulting in timepieces that are utterly extraordinary, much like the MARS Project One BHR025 that we have here. Launched as a limited edition of just 200 pieces in 2021, this rectangular titanium timepiece displays the time on both Earth and Mars, along with the date. Featuring a dual-time rolled display and two 3D globe depictions of each planet, this timepiece reconceptualizes time as we know it in a novel and unique manner that only an independent watchmaker typically has the imagination to conjure up.

The watch is in overall near-mint condition. The titanium case has only minor signs of wear, with some light marks on the case back and bracelet. The bracelet currently fits a 7" wrist and has 13 links, with 6 additional links included. Comes complete with box and papers.

Featuring an other-worldly source of inspiration that was impressively executed upon, the MARS Project One showcases the level of horological ingenuity that resides outside of the traditional watchmakers.
