Taking a rather unconventional route into the world of watches, Boucheron began life in 1858 as a jeweller before venturing into pocket watches by the mid-1880s. From there, Boucheron’s watchmaking business continued to grow and in 1947 they launched the Reflet, a rectangular dress watch with simple lines, gentle curves and a rather unique strap mechanism whereby the strap was one continuous piece of leather that would attach an detach to and from the case at the lugs with slide fasteners, somewhat akin to how an Apple watch strap attaches to its case. This provided extreme customizability and enabled the Reflet to grow in status as a fashionable watch for those looking to frequently and easily change their strap on their watch. Offered here, we have the Reflet Solis, a quartz chronograph variant of the Reflet, that is offered on a 5-link stainless steel bracelet that adds to the toolishness of the Solis’ blue chronograph dial. Featuring a date aperture at 4:30 and a trio of subdials along with 100m of water resistance, the Reflet Solis broke from the Reflet’s dressy vibe and entered the slightly more utilitarian side of watchmaking, making it perfect for a modern collector who wants to explore the world of neo-vintage Boucheron without sacrificing on utility.

Watch is in near-mint condition, with only minor signs of use or wear. Bracelet has 23 links total, 6 of which are removable. It fits a 7 3/4" wrist.
