Founded by Abraham-Louis Breguet, one of horology’s most famed watchmakers, Breguet is a brand rooted in classical horological excellence. With such innovations as the tourbillon, the Breguet overcoil and their eponymous ‘Breguet’ hands and even numerals among their impressive list of accolades, Breguet are widely renowned as one of the most influential and important watchmakers in the industry. With a truly remarkable history, Breguet’s timepieces often hark back to the classical period of watchmaking through a traditional aesthetic, and this Classique Tourbillon Chronograph ref. 3577, as its name suggests, is no different. Measuring a wonderfully modern 38.5mm, its perfectly round 18kt white gold case features a polished domed bezel that swoops down to the midcase where it overhangs a coin-edge texture. Matching this level of exuberant detail, the ref. 3577’s stunning silver dial also features a beautiful blend of textures with a clous de paris engraving in its center, concentrically-brushed chapter rings, a basketweave pattern within its 12-hour chronograph subdial at 6 o’clock and a wavy pattern in its 30-minute chronograph subdial at 3 o’clock. Mirroring these subdials are a cartouche holding Breguet’s name at 9 o’clock and a large aperture at 12 o’clock that provides a view of the ref. 3577’s eponymous tourbillon and bridge which combine to leave no ambiguity as to the craftsmanship that has gone into this timepiece, as is also showcased through its exhibition caseback where the ref. 3577’s elaborately engraved movement is on show. An elegantly styled timepiece with an incredible amount of work gone into it, the Classique Tourbillon Chronograph is undoubtedly Breguet at their finest.

Watch is in very good overall condition. Case exhibits moderate signs of wear, with some scratches and marks evident primarily along the polished lugs and bezel. There is a small ding between the lugs on the 12 o'clock side of the case on the upper polished case band. Dial near-mint with little to no signs of wear. The watch comes with its original 18k deployant buckle.

Vividly 'Breguet' in just about every way possible, the Classique Tourbillon Chronograph is one of the famed French watchmaker's most impressive timepieces. With its incredible craftsmanship, beautiful design and luxurious detailing, it certainly deserves its place amongst Breguet's most revered work.
