Introduction
Famed for their pilot’s watches and general devotion to tool watches, it is no surprise that Breitling would be keen to fuse their tool watch-focused design language with a more fashion forward approach to create the watch that we have here, the Cockpit Chronograph ref. A30012. Known for being seen on the wrist of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, the ref. A30012 features a bright yellow dial with a trio of black subdials that have since become an iconic part of its aesthetic. Measuring 37mm in diameter and powered by the automatic Breitling cal. 30 movement, the A30012 breaks from Breitling’s typically large sizing to create a watch that is easy on the wrist while still remaining immediately recognisable.

THE DIAL
Rich with color thanks to its bright yellow dial and black contrasting subdials, the A30012's display is thoroughly unique, and has thus been identified on the wrist of famous celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay
THE CONSTRUCTION
Featuring a rather wearable case that measures 37mm in diameter, the A30012 breaks from Breitling's typically very large sizing that results in a much more wearable design than the brand is typically known for.

Condition
Watch is in overall excellent condition. The steel case shows light surface scratches and marks, while the bezel displays a few small scuffs. The case back retains well-defined engravings along with clear reference and serial numbers. The dial remains excellent, though there are some lume plots missing, while the hands appear to have been relumed. It is fitted with a Breitling leather strap and a steel pin buckle, both remaining in excellent condition. Comes complete with inner and outer boxes, blank warranty, slide rule calculator, booklets, and hangtag.
Please note: The watch ticks at time of cataloging, but timekeeping is poor and a service is recommended.

Rich with Breitling's design details but unique thanks to its bright yellow dial and smaller case size, the A30012 is regarded by many to be the peak of Breitling's neo-vintage design language.
