Introduction
First released in 1952 and based on Breitling’s 1942 Chronomat, the Breitling Navitimer was the pilot’s watch to end all pilot’s watches. Following Breitling’s collaboration with the AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association) to make the slide rule of its Chronomat even more relevant to pilots, the Navitimer was born as the ultimate pilot’s watch. Basically a hand-held computer, the Navitimer enabled pilots to quickly figure out fuel consumption rates, average speeds, convert between various scales, and much more. Offered here as a variation of that iconic pilot’s watch, we have the Ladies Navitimer ref. R17327. Boasting a 36mm 18kt rose gold case, it features the Navitimer’s iconic slide rule bezel, but instead of the collection’s typical chronograph display, it features a time-only mother-of-pearl dial with diamond-set hour markers, as it merges the Navitimer’s historical design with luxury and aesthetic nuance.

THE DIAL
Retaining the collection's signature slide rule bezel and its accompanying dial inscriptions along its periphery, the ref. R17327 is rooted in the Navitimer's historical legacy, but without its chronograph complication, its diamond-set Mother-of-pearl display is decidedly stylish and luxurious.
THE CONSTRUCTION
Sized at 36mm in diameter and fitted with its beaded bezel, the 18kt rose gold ref. R17327 is elegant on the wrist.

Our Perspective
Combining the Navitimer with some feminine sensibilities, the ref. R17327 is an elegantly executed and measured take on one of Breitling's most famous watches.
