Introduction
Founded in 2002, Bremont began when two brothers, Nick and Giles English, were inspired to create an aviation-themed watch company after their father Euan died in an accident while flying a vintage WWII Harvard aircraft. Having gained experience with mechanical technologies such as clock-assembly, aeroplane and yacht-construction from Euan, it was obvious to the brothers what sort of company would commemorate him best. Afraid to use their surname knowing that it would sound cliché given the brothers are in fact from England, they searched for a name to use. This name came to them when a flight they were on had to land in a farm due to a storm. The farmers name? Antoine Bremont. Due to their rich familial connection to aviation it was only natural that Bremont would focus on creating watches that would speak to their RAF heritage. Thus, the brothers sought to make their watches capable of withstanding the harsh punishments dealt during military flight. Following five years of R&D, Bremont finally launched their first watch in 2007 and ever since then the brand has grown from strength to strength with a whole host of impressive offerings; one of which being this Supersonic limited edition. Limited to 300 pieces and boasting a 43mm stainless steel case, the Supersonic is a rare and intensely capable timepiece inside and out. Powered by Bremont’s first manual-wind movement and launched to celebrate the iconic Concorde passenger jet travelled twice the speed of sound’s 50th anniversary, the Supersonic infuses Bremont’s love of aviation with British Airways’ iconic use of the Concorde to create a special timepiece. With its entirely polished case emulating the Concorde’s reflective surface, and containing a ring of aluminium from Alpha Bravo, Heathrow’s last remaining Concorde, the Supersonic celebrates a bygone era of passenger aviation that we have yet to revist, and can only look back on with fondness, nostalgia and perhaps jealousy for those of us who weren’t lucky enough to take the 2.5 hour trip from London to New York in British Airway’s flagship route.

Celebrating one of aviation's most iconic aircraft, and England's link with the plane, the Supersonic pays respectful homage to the fastest passenger jet we are likely to ever see.
