Introduction
Originally released in 2014, the Bulgari Octo Finissimo burst onto the watchmaking scene as Bulgari's latest entrant into the world of angular integrated bracelet timepieces inspired by Gerald Genta's signature design language. Since then, the Octo Finissimo has been Bulgari's most often-used vehicle for horological innovation. A great display of that very horological prowess, the Octo Finissimo Chronograph ref. 103068 that we have here blends a visually unique, aesthetically progressive, and monochromatic all-titanium design with a wonderfully executed movement that results in a timepiece that is truly a delight to wear. Powered by the mesmerizingly thin cal. BVL 318 movement, which is just 3.3mm tall, the ref. 103068 stands at a mere 6.9mm, allowing it to wear with a sense of decorum that few dress watches can even come close to, let alone a chronograph with a GMT function and exhibition caseback. Released in 2019 and even going on to win the 2019 GPHP award in the Chronograph category, the ref. 103068 has been a trailblazer ever since it was launched, and it is incredibly easy to see why. With collectors loving its design, mechanics, and link to one of horology’s best-known designers, the Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT deserves every bit of praise it gets sent its way.

THE DIAL
Matching its sandblasted titanium construction, this example features a grey sandblasted titanium dial, which results in a wonderfully monochromatic aesthetic and pairs with black hands, indices, and numerals to create a surprisingly legible display.
THE CONSTRUCTION
Amazingly thin, as per Bulgari's innovative (and often world-record setting) efforts as of late, this example is just 6.9mm tall thanks to its incredibly thin 3.3mm movement, the cal. BVL 318, and thus wears on the wrist unlike any other watch you are likely to have worn.
