Launched in 1921, two years after the original Cartier Tank debuted in 1919, the slim and elongated Tank Cintree has remained in the brand’s repertoire intermittently ever since its launch all those years ago. Typically offered as a limited edition offering irrespective of variant, the Cintree is a special watch. Manually wound and featuring a beautiful curved dial, case, and crystal, the Cintree sits perfectly on the wearer as it wraps around the curvature of the wrist. With exploding Roman numerals and Cartier's signature chemin de fer railroad-style minute track this Cintree remains entirely grounded in Cartier's quintessential design language, as the French watchmaker has endeavored to do since the Cintree was launched over 100 years ago. Constructed of platinum, this example features a bubble-back caseback so as to accommodate the manual-wind caliber within its thin case.

Watch is in excellent condition. Platinum case is has sharp and edges and only minor surface wear. Edges are crisp and hallmarks are strong on caseback. The original mineral crystal has some marks on it. Dial has very light wear along the edge. Watch comes with a satin/leather strap that is cut for a small wrist, and includes a WG Cartier deployment buckle.

An incredibly elegant watch, the Cintree demonstrates Cartier's ability to create incredibly stylish pieces all the while remaining consistent with their design language, a talent that not many watchmakers possess. We love the little details of this rare platinum example, such as the old style hand stamped numbers and the French hallmarks on the caseback.
