Launched in 1921, two years after the original Cartier Tank debuted in 1919, the slim and elongated Tank Cintree has remained in the brand’s repertoire intermittently ever since its launch all those years ago. Typically offered as a limited edition offering irrespective of variant, the example we have here is yet another of the collection's limited edition references, the ref. WGTA0193. Launched in 2023as a limited edition collection of just 150 pieces, the WGTA0193 is part of Cartier’s Les Rééditions de Cartier program, which seeks to revive old historical offerings from the brand’s illustrious past. Closely inspired by the original, this limited edition collection stays true to the Cintree’s aesthetic and heritage, with the Cintree’s signature precious metal construction that measures 46.3mm lug to lug and is just 23mm wide. Made of platinum and boasting a beige eggshell white dial with its black hands and soft dial inscriptions, the ref. WGTA0193 retains the essence of Cartier in as classical a fashion as we have learned to expect from the French watchmaker but with a modern twist that is elegant, sophisticated and luxurious.

The watch is in near-mint condition. The platinum case is very clean, with only light signs of wear on the bezel. The case back has well-defined engravings. The cream dial and blued hands are like new. It is fitted with a leather strap and platinum Cartier pin buckle, both in near-mint condition. The watch comes complete with its box, warranty, certificate, booklets, cleaning cloth, and loupe. Watch is fitted with a third party leather strap.

Part of the Les Rééditions de Cartier program, the WGTA0193 recalls the Tank Cintree's iconic original design in a manner that is both historically truthful and contemporarily executed.
