Offered here we have the Tank Francaise ref. 1840 in 18kt yellow gold which epitomizes elegance and sophistication, as per Cartier’s modus operandi. Boasting a touch of opulence through its large 32mm x 28mm 18kt yellow gold case, the Francaise’ polished finish enhances the luster of the precious metal, creating a stunning contrast against the guilloche engraved silver dial. THE DIAL
Retaining all of Cartier's signature dial design elements, the Tank Francaise boasts blued steel hands, black Roman numerals, and a railroad-style minute track atop its guilloche engraved silver opaline dial to keep it within the Tank's design aesthetic.
THE CONSTRUCTION
Boasting a rather modern take on the Tank's iconic silhouette, the Francaise utilizes thicker brancards and a more square shape to build upon the Tank's legacy as a powerhouse of horological design.

Condition
Watch is in very good overall condition. Case shows moderate signs of wear, with scratches and marks visible along the lugs and case sides, as well as soft edges. The 9 o'clock side of the case has a small ding on the lower edge of the edge along the 8 o'clock area. The original textured dial has light signs of aging visible. Caseback engravings are crisp and fully visible. Watch comes with its original 18k tang buckle.
Please Note: Due to CITES considerations, if the watch is to be shipped outside of the USA, the exotic skin strap will have to be removed.
