Offered as part of Cartier’s family of Tank models, the Tank Francaise debuted in 1996 as a modern take on the timeless classic, with its angular design and integrated bracelet. Offered here we have the Tank Francaise MM ref. WSAT0086 in stainless steel. Made as a limited edition variant exclusively for the Japanese market, this watch epitomizes elegance and sophistication, as per Cartier’s modus operandi. Boasting a unique design through its silver on silver monochromatic display, the Francaise’ bright display is unique and stylish. Boasting an entirely brushed construction, this example’s case and bracelet contrast the bright dial and give the watch a rather unique look on the wrist. Fitted with a moonstone cabochon in its winding crown in place of Cartier’s typical sapphire cabochon, the WSTA0086 takes Cartier’s distinctive allure and modifies it intriguingly.

Watch is in near-mint condition overall. The case and bracelet have a couple of very light scratches, while the dial and hands are like new. There is no play between the bracelet links. The bracelet currently fits a 6 3/4" wrist and has 14 links, 4 of which are removable. One additional link is included. Complete with box and papers.
