Introduction

Following the success of their first collaboration, Dennison and Collectability are proud to announce their second limited-edition release: a bold new expression of the now familiar Dennison form, imagined through the shared vision of Collectability founder John Reardon and celebrated Swiss designer Emmanuel Gueit.

The 2026 Edition Oblique Collection will be produced as a limited edition available to pre-order for one week only from May 27 until June 3. Offered here is the one and only stainless steel prototype from the Collectability x Dennison Oblique Collection, personally donated by John Reardon in support of the Abigail Zittoun Foundation. What makes this example especially compelling is that this is not the final production version. The case is slightly different from the final design, giving collectors a rare look into the evolution of the design. Further distinguishing the watch is its case back engraving: “JR Prototype”. It will also be the only example to have the Dennison tagline “Beautiful Since 1874”, the final collaboration evolution will have a different tagline. As a unique one of one, this is not only a prototype, but a piece that offers the buyer the opportunity to own the very first working prototype from the new 2026 Collectability x Dennison limited edition watch months ahead of the public delivery of these limited edition watches.

The Watch
THE WATCH

The Collectability x Dennison Oblique Collection was created with the idea that great design is accessible without paying tens of thousands of dollars. With its shaped case, clean proportions, and unmistakable dial architecture, the Oblique collection brings together vintage inspiration and modern wearability.

The Case
THE CASE

The case of this prototype differs slightly from the final production design with its bezel and finish, making this example especially interesting for anyone who appreciates how watches are developed. Prototype watches often show the decisions, refinements, and small design changes that eventually lead to the finished object. In that sense, this piece is not only a watch, but also a document of the design process.

The Caseback
The Caseback

Featuring a unique engraving on the caseback, this is the very first (and currently only) watch in existence!

Condition

Watch is in like new condition, with only minor signs of wear.

Our Perspective

This watch sits at the intersection of an independent collaboration and modern watch design. For the collector who values provenance, uniqueness, and design context, this is a rare opportunity to acquire a watch that will not be repeated.
