Introduction

Launched in 2008 as a means to reinvent Concord following a change of direction for the storied Swiss watchmaker and to celebrate their 100-year anniversary, the C1 Tourbillon combined a futuristic design language with an impressive command of technical watchmaking prowess that resulted in something truly special. Winning the 2008 GPHG award for Watch Design of the Year, this limited edition collection of just 10 pieces boasts a large 48.5mm stainless steel case with a unique design aesthetic that stems from its technically complex manual-wind cal. C100 movement. Sporting a flyback chronograph, a trust index, a power reserve indicator, an hour and minutes subdial, and a side-mounted tourbillon viewing carriage that also boasts a rotational running seconds display that faces the wearer, the C1 Tourbillon’s semi-skeletonized display is truly spectacular and busy with information.

THE CONSTRUCTION
THE CONSTRUCTION

Speaking to its unique watchmaking prowess, the C1 Tourbillon's avant-garde engineering is translated through to its physical construction, with its 48.5mm stainless steel case boasting a crown locking mechanism, a side-mounted tourbillon viewing carriage at 5 o'clock, and a generally futuristic aesthetic throughout.

TIMING MACHINE READOUT
TIMING MACHINE READOUT

Due to the nature of the movement, we are unable to get a timing machine readout that accurately reflects the state of timekeeping. This is due to limitations of the machine and not because of a defect with the watch. We have wound and set the watch over the course of 7 days multiple times, and it appears to be keeping time. This information is provided as a courtesy only, and shall not be construed as a warranty or guarantee of any kind. Please refer to our terms and conditions of sale for more information.

Condition

The watch is in overall excellent condition. The steel case shows some light scratches and marks, while the rubber cladding remains excellent, with only minor surface wear. The case back has well-defined engravings. The dial elements and hands are all near-mint. The watch is fitted with a black alligator strap and a black buckle, both in excellent condition.

Please Note: Due to CITES considerations, if the watch is to be shipped outside of the USA, the exotic skin strap will have to be removed.

Our Perspective

Winning the GPHG award in 2008 for watch design of the year, the C1 Tourbillon announced Concord's arrival to the high-end watchmaking table, with its unique design and impressive technical engineering combining to create something truly special.
