Introduction
The Eichi II is one of the purest expressions of the extraordinary work carried out at Seiko's Micro Artist Studio in Shiojiri. Introduced in 2014 to mark Credor's 40th anniversary, it succeeded the original Eichi while retaining the philosophy behind it: an exceptionally simple watch whose quality reveals itself through materials, handcraft and finishing rather than complication. The 18K rose gold GBLT998 joined the collection in 2018, bringing warmth to a design otherwise defined by the stark contrast between its white porcelain dial and blue indications.
That dial is produced from porcelain by Noritake before its Credor signature, minute track and individual hour markers are painted by hand in blue. The same emphasis on craftsmanship continues through the manually wound Spring Drive calibre 7R14, whose large bridges, polished bevels and restrained decoration are visible through the sapphire case back. Rather than interrupting the dial, the power-reserve indication is positioned on the movement side. At 39mm and only 10.3mm thick, the Eichi II combines traditional Japanese craft with the distinctive mechanics of Spring Drive in an exceptionally restrained form.

THE DIAL
Produced from white porcelain by Noritake, the dial is remarkable for its apparent simplicity. Its Credor signature, minute track and individual hour markers are painted by hand in blue, complemented by matching tempered blue hands. With no date or power-reserve display to interrupt it, the dial remains exceptionally pure.

THE CONSTRUCTION
The 39mm case is fashioned from 18K rose gold and measures a restrained 10.3mm thick. Its highly polished surfaces and flowing lugs deliberately avoid unnecessary ornamentation, allowing the porcelain dial and movement finishing to remain the focus. A sapphire case back provides an uninterrupted view of the calibre 7R14.

THE MOVEMENT
The manually wound Spring Drive calibre 7R14 is produced by the Micro Artist Studio and provides approximately 60 hours of power reserve. Its expansive bridges feature finely polished bevels and contrasting surface finishes, while the power-reserve indication is positioned on the movement side, preserving the simplicity of the dial.
Condition
Watch is in overall like-new condition. The 18K rose gold case shows only light signs of wear or handling and has developed a light patina. The blue protective sticker remains in place on the case back. The dial and hands are like new. Comes with box. The original guarantee papers are not included.
Please Note: Due to CITES considerations, if the watch is to be shipped outside of the USA, the exotic skin strap will have to be removed.
Our Perspective
The Eichi II demonstrates how much craftsmanship can be concentrated into an apparently simple three-hand watch. There is nowhere for the execution to hide: the porcelain dial is largely empty, its markings are painted by hand and the calibre 7R14 is exposed beneath a broad sapphire back. The rose gold GBLT998 adds warmth without disturbing that restraint, making it one of the most compelling expressions of the Micro Artist Studio's philosophy.
