Founded in 1845 by one of Patek Philippe's original founders, Czapek's long heritage as a watchmaker for nobility and royals has ingrained a longstanding tradition within the brand to create some of the finest watches on the market, a tradition that still rings true to this day. Launched in 2019, the watch that we have here is proof of that very idea, the Faubourg de Cracovie Sockeye. Launched as a limited edition collection of just 18 pieces, the Sockeye takes the Faubourg de Cracovie’s chronograph watch as the foundation, and gives it a stunning salmon dial with rich blue subdials. Engraved throughout its salmon portion, with recessed subdials and blued steel hands, the Sockeye is a stunning watch that reveals the artistry of Czapek’s horological prowess. Powered by the proprietary Vaucher Fleurier movement, the cal. SXH3, made only for Czapek, the Sockeye features the Faubourg de Cracovie’s 41.5mm stainless steel case with its skeletonized lugs, thin bezel, and seamlessly-integrated chronograph pushers. A casual watch on the wrist on account of its rubber strap, the Sockeye is a wonderful display of artistry and watchmaking combined into one.
