Introduction
Founded in 1989, Daniel Roth is long-established as one of the early entrants in the independent watchmaking space, which has since ballooned in popularity with brands like Urwerk, MB&F, and Richard Mille launching from the very foundations that Daniel Roth laid. With their distinctive styling, fresh take on design, and technical prowess, the indie watchmaker quickly rose to fame. An emblematic example of their watchmaking guile, the Master’s Tourbillon 8 Days ref. 197.x.60 is a spectacular timepiece inside and out. A stunningly beautiful watch that symbolizes Daniel Roth’s craftsmanship and technical prowess like none other, this incredible tourbillon-touting timepiece also features a triple-handed tourbillon cage with hands of varying lengths that sweep over 20-second scales as the tourbillon rotates that allows it to double as a running subseconds dial. Paired with this vastly complex feature is a stunning two-tone silver dial with Clous-de-Paris guilloche engraving and concentric satin finish along the chapter rings, which combine with the 41mm 18k white gold ellipsocurvex case to create a wonderful monochromatic aesthetic that is just sublime on the wrist.
