Introduction
Launching in 2002, De Bethune has burst onto the watchmaking scene with hi-tech materials, innovative movements and stunning avant-garde designs that have enabled them to quickly become one of the most distinctive watchmakers in the industry. Founded by THA founders Denis Flageollet and David Zanetta, the idea for De Bethune was that it would be a true watch manufacture, something De Bethune has undoubtedly achieved with their models that encompass almost every facet of horology. Recognised as one of the most important indie watchmakers of recent times, De Bethune have created a powerful sense of self as they forge on with their own unique aesthetic and style. Carrying that aesthetic in abundance is the DBS Tourbillon that we have here. Made of 18kt white gold and launched in 2015 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the DBS model that De Bethune created in support of the Only Watch charity auction, the DBS is an incredibly important part of De Bethune’s history, with a high-frequency tourbillon (36,000 vph), and a distinctive bell-shaped case that is wonderfully futuristic. Featuring a silver skeletonized dial that showcases the wonderful finishing across its movement, this is a special watch from a special brand.

THE DIAL
Featuring a skeletonized dial that provides a view of the top of its manual-wind cal. DB2019 movement, the DBSTW is a wonderfully futuristic-looking watch with its 36,000 vph tourbillon at 6 o'clock dominating its display.

THE CONSTRUCTION
Featuring a distinctive bell-shaped 18kt white gold case, the DBSTW combines De Bethune's uniquely avant-garde design language with a more classical feel that echoes its link to the past as an anniversary watch.

TIMING MACHINE READOUT
This reading was taken (crown down) with a ONEOF Accuracy Boutique Edition timing machine at time of cataloging. It is provided as a courtesy only, and shall not be construed as a warranty or guarantee of any kind. Please refer to our terms and conditions of sale for more information.
Condition
Watch is in overall near-mint condition. The white gold case shows signs of careful wear, with light surface scuffs and marks visible around the bezel, while the case back displays wear around the power reserve window and retains crisp engravings and hallmarks. The dial elements and hands remain like new. It is fitted with a black crocodile strap and a white gold pin buckle. Comes complete with box.
Please Note: Due to CITES considerations, if the watch is to be shipped outside of the USA, the exotic skin strap will have to be removed.
Our Perspective
Limited to only 10 pieces and combining a unique design with a finely executed and equally unique construction, this timepiece is a wonderful exhibition of De Bethune's prowess as a watchmaker.
