Introduction
Launched in 2004, the Dior Chiffre Rouge collection combines Dior’s unique stylistic sensibilities with modern watchmaking to create timepieces that are unique anything else on the market. Offered here, we have the Dior Chiffre Rouge M01 Inversé Caliber, launched in 2011, which embodies that idea in its totality. Limited to just 200 pieces, this 41mm timepiece boasts a uniquely blocky stainless steel case that uses a winding crown at 4 o’clock to subtly hint at its unusual design detail, its dial-set winding rotor. A collaboration with Les Ateliers Horlogers, movement specialist Soprod SA and independent watchmaker Frédéric Jouvenot, the resulting movement allows the Chiffre Rouge M01’s black lacquer dial to appear as a two-tone black and silver display.

THE DIAL
Boasting a black dial with its winding rotor set atop, the Chiffre Rouge M01's display appears as a two-tone black and silver dial.
THE CONSTRUCTION
Boasting a uniquely shaped stainless steel case, the Chiffre Rouge M01's 41mm construction boasts a black ceramic bezel and large blocky lugs with steep bevels that combine with its winding crown at 4 o'clock to create an unusual wearing experience on the wrist.

Condition
Watch is in excellent overall condition. The watch exhibits small scratches and a few marks visible along the case surface. Watch comes with its original strap and signed buckle. The M01 was made in a limited edition of 200 pieces split between the bracelet and leather strap version, and this is a prototype un-numbered example that was given to a stylist who worked with the brand.
