First launched in 2011 as F.P. Journe’s first sports watch and originally made of aluminium, the Octa Sport has long been established as an extension of F.P. Journe's unwavering desire to create timepieces that push boundaries that other watchmakers never even knew existed. Inspired by one of F.P. Journe’s most dedicated collectors who wanted a light F.P. Journe timepiece to wear during his marathons and triathlon events, the Octa Sport is an incredibly light timepiece boasting all of F.P. Journe’s famed high-horology. With its case made of titanium and featuring an aluminum movement, the cal. 1300.3, the Octa Sport weighs an incredibly light 60 grams on its black rubber strap. With a rubber reinforced case designed to protect the watch against shocks, a sleek monochromatic aesthetic and an impressive array of complications such as a power reserve indicator, a screwed-down small seconds display at 6 o'clock, a day/night indication at 8 o'clock, and large luminescent Arabic numerals, the Octa Sport still retains the capable essence of a sports watch but with a F.P. Journe's distinctive design language. Featuring the brand’s signature braided rope crown at 4:30 and branding across its dial, there is certainly no doubt which powerhouse of horology created this immaculate timepiece.

THE DIAL
Boasting a black dial that matches the dark hue of its titanium case and black rubber strap, the Octa Sport's large Arabic numerals, power reserve indicator, small seconds dial, date aperture and AM/PM indicator all stand out against their dark backdrop as they provide the timepiece with a useful array of functions and complications.
THE MOVEMENT
Fetauring an almost entirely aluminum construction, the Octa Sport's cal. 1300.3 movement features a titanium winding rotor with a tungsten insert that is used to improve winding efficiency. Thanks to its incredibly light aluminum construction, the cal. 1300.3 makes up just 11 grams of the Octa Sport's 60 gram weight.
