Introduction
Founded in 1992 by Franck Muller and Vartan Sirmakes and known as the "Master of Complications," Franck Muller, the brand, has grown to become synonymous with complex microengineering, original whacky designs, and incredible attention to detail. While tonneau-shaped cases and colorful dials dominate Franck Muller's modern aesthetic, their earlier watches were more traditional round timepieces that featured somewhat classic design motifs, much like this ref. 1900S6 that we have here. Launched in the '90s during the brand's early days, the ref. 1900S6 utilizes a simple 18kt white gold case measuring 34mm in diameter to recall the watchmaking industry's own early days where svelte and simple dress watches dominated the landscape. With its manual movement and understated dial, this seemingly purposeful decision to recall horology's simple times is wonderfully well-executed and demonstrates the wide breadth of Franck Muller's impressive watchmaking talent given the brand's subsequent shift in aesthetic.

Our Perspective
A wonderfully classical watch in its design and execution, Franck Muller has combined a vintage aesthetic with a manual-wind movement to create a watch that is both understated and charming.
