Introduction
Founded in 1791, Girard Perregaux is a watchmaker rooted in tradition and centuries of history that have earned them a place amongst the greats of Swiss watchmaking. With iconic pieces of design such as their three bridges and iconic watches like the Laureato, they have a strong sense of appeal that draws in watch enthusiasts to no end. Playing to these strengths, Girard Perregaux collaborated with Ferrari in 1993 to create timepieces deserving of the Italian automaker’s prestigious name. As part of this collaboration, Girard Perregaux launched the Ferrari Rattrapante Foudroyante ref. 9020 in 1999 to celebrate Ferrari’s 70th anniversary. Interestingly enough, Ferrari would also go on to win the F1 Constructor’s Championship in 1999, which Girard Perregaux would celebrate with another variant of the Ferrari Rattrapante Foudroyante ref. 9020. Made of titanium, limited to just 100 pieces and featuring a beautiful white dial, the Ferrari Rattrapante Foudroyante ref. 9020 that we have here is a tastefully designed timepiece that hits on the functional requirements inspired by Ferrari’s automotive demands, such as a tachymetre, a split-second chronograph and convenient pump pushers – all things one might need as part of a race.

THE DIAL
Featuring a white dial with red accents, the Ferrari Rattrapante Foudroyante's display is wonderfully legible. The red subdial hand at 9 o'clock allows for the wearer to time events within 1/8th of a second, as per its foudroyante function.
THE CONSTRUCTION
While boasting dimensions in keeping with the style of its late-90s debut, the Ferrari Rattrapante Foudroyante is incredibly light and comfortable on the wrist thanks to its titanium construction.

Watch is in overall near-mint condition. Titanium case is showing very little to no wear, no major dings or scratches visible. The dial is in near-mint condition with no scratches or marks. The titanium bracelet has 13 links total, 5 that are removable.
