Introduction

Founded in 1994 under somewhat similar circumstances to Lange & Söhne following the privatisation of a German watchmaking business, Glashutte Original have established themselves as one of the finest watchmakers in Germany in a relatively short timeframe thanks to their exceptional artisanal craftsmanship, dedication to mechanical excellence and the luxurious execution of their timepieces. A wonderful example of their talents is the Senator Sixties Panorama Date that we have here. Featuring a stunning 42mm stainless steel case and a beautiful fiery range dial with a large ‘panorama’ date window at 6 o’clock, this timepiece's understated construction reinforces the very essence of German design and engineering through its under-the-radar aesthetic paired with the intense luxury of its uniquely colored dial. Showcasing Glashutte Original’s impressive horological talents through its exhibition caseback that reveals its automatic cal. 39 movement, the Sixties Panorama Date is a compelling fusion of modern horology and intelligently-inspired design.
