Released in 2022 to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the original 44GS, the reference SLGA013 pairs this iconic case with Grand Seiko's flagship Spring Drive calibre 9RA2. Limited to just 550 pieces, it was the first 44GS to be crafted from Ever-Brilliant Steel, a proprietary alloy with exceptional corrosion resistance and a brighter appearance than conventional stainless steel. The richly textured dark dial is inspired by the elliptical paths traced by the stars across the night sky, creating a remarkable sense of depth as light plays across its engraved surface. Defined by the wide faceted lugs and mirror-polished surfaces of the original 44GS, the case remains one of the purest expressions of Grand Seiko's celebrated Grammar of Design.
THE MOVEMENT
The Spring Drive calibre 9RA2 represents Grand Seiko's flagship automatic movement, combining mechanical energy with quartz regulation to achieve remarkable precision of ±10 seconds per month. Its innovative architecture delivers a five-day power reserve while allowing for a slimmer case profile, with the power reserve indicator discreetly relocated to the movement side.
Condition
Watch is in overall like-new condition. The case shows only light signs of wear or handling, with no scratches or scuffs. The bracelet is fitted with 12 links, 4 of which are removable, and fits approximately a 7” wrist. There are 4 spare links included. Comes with the inner and outer boxes, warranty, booklet and hangtags.
