Introduction
A collaborative effort between esteemed Japanese watchmaker Grand Seiko and one of the largest watch publications in the world Hodinkee, the SBGM239 is perhaps one of the most wearable and easily-operable GMT timepieces on the market today. Made of stainless steel and featuring a wonderfully proportioned 39.5mm x 13.7mm case as designed by Grand Seiko Chief Designer Nobuhiro Kosugi, the SBGM239 is a timepiece that is hard to not enjoy. Offered as a limited edition release of 500 pieces exclusive to the US, the SBGM239 features a stunning dial that combines Grand Seiko’s nature-inspired design language with Hodinkee’s signature design details. Partially inspired by the hours that contain the transition from day to night; dusk in English, or "Yūgure" in Japanese, it features a twilight blue dial that boasts Hodinkee's signature shade of grey for its GMT functions, such as its 24-hour scale and GMT hand, which further feeds into this natural-inspiration given this same grey resembles the color of clouds. Powered by the automatic cal. 9S66 movement, the SBGM239 is tested to Grand Seiko's stringent -3 to +5 seconds per day Grand Seiko Standard in static conditions across six positions over a 17-day period to ensure it fits the brand's exacting standards. With a rather capable 72-hour power reserve, and a GMT function that is easy to operate, the SBGM239 is not only stunning, it is also incredibly practical; like so many other timepieces from Grand Seiko’s rich catalog of incredible timepieces.

THE DIAL
Displaying Grand Seiko's outstanding craftsmanship, the SBGM239's dial is partially inspired by the hours that contain the transition from day to night; dusk in English, or "Yūgure" in Japanese. With twilight blue as its main color, Hodinkee's signature shade of grey is used on the elements that relate to its GMT functions, such as its 24-hour scale and GMT hand.

Condition
Watch is in excellent overall condition. Watch shows light signs of use, with no significant scratches or marks. Bracelet was previously sized, but the removed links are included with the watch (there may be a couple pins missing for the removed links).
