Introduction
Founded by the Netherlands-based brothers Bart and Tim Gronefeld, their eponymous brand carries a legacy of watchmaking that dates back to 1912, bringing a wealth of expertise to each meticulously crafted timepiece. Combining contemporary aesthetics with classical mechanics, Gronefeld’s design language culminates in watches that are not merely timekeepers but wearable pieces of art. Taking their incredible success as one of independent watchmaking’s best-known brands to more collectors, Gronefeld launched their affordable sub-brand Grone in late 2024 with the Manueel One, which is the watch that we have here. Limited to only 388 pieces, made of stainless steel and boasting a salmon dial with a central tremblage finish surrounded by a rhodium-plated chapter ring and blued hands, the 38.5mm Manueel One lives and breathes Gronefeld’s iconic aesthetic, but at a fraction of the price under its new brand. With a stepped bezel and architectural lugs, the Manueel One carries a classical wrist presence much like Gronefeld’s Principia collection.

THE DIAL
Boasting a stunning salmon dial with a tremblage finish for its central portion that is then surrounded by a brushed rhodium-plated chapter ring and paired with bright blued hands, the Manueel One's dial is a wonderfully bright and vivid display of careful consideration.
THE CONSTRUCTION
Featuring a case in stainless steel, the Manueel One's case features an intensely elegant construction with its architectural lugs and domed bezel all being completed polished, much like the 1941 Principia collection from Grone's parent brand, Gronefeld.
