Introduction
Launched as Moser’s entrant in the arena of casual sports watches, the Pioneer Center Seconds retains Moser’s signature design language while also featuring some details that add utility and give it a sportier feel. Featuring a midnight blue dial with Moser’s signature fume effect whereby the dials electric blue center darkens as it radiates towards the dial’s periphery, the ref. 3200-1200 fits firmly within Moser’s aesthetic. However, made completely out of stainless steel, its 42.8mm construction does break from Moser’s typically refined construction style, a fact that is only compounded upon by the inclusion of its sporty black rubber strap. Powered by the stunningly well-finished automatic Moser cal. HMC200 movement on display behind an exhibition caseback, the ref. 3200-1200 features Moser’s stunning craftsmanship inside and out.

THE CONSTRUCTION
Made of stainless steel and offered on a rubber strap, the Pioneer Center Seconds wears on the wrist with an impressively casual presence and general sportiness that typically wouldn't be associated with Moser due to their association with dress watches.

Condition
The watch is in overall near-mint condition. The steel case shows light signs of wear, with some scratches on the backs of the lugs from strap changes. The case back has a few light marks but retains crisp engravings. The dial and hands are like new. The watch is fitted with a rubber strap that shows signs of wear, paired with a steel buckle in excellent condition. It comes complete with boxes, warranty card, booklets, and hangtags.
Our Perspective
A finely executed sports watch, the ref. 3200-1200 showcases that Moser can effectively take their skills in making fine dress watches and use them to create other types of watches outside of their niche but still within their aesthetic remit.
