The Streamliner Flyback Chronograph marked H. Moser & Cie.'s entry into the integrated-bracelet sports-watch category in 2020, but did so without borrowing the angular vocabulary established by its better-known competitors. Instead, its rounded cushion-shaped case and exceptionally fluid bracelet drew inspiration from the aerodynamic Streamliner trains of the 1920s and 1930s. The original grey-dial launch edition was limited to 100 pieces and won the Chronograph Prize at the 2020 GPHG. Later that year Moser followed it with this ref. 6902-1201, introducing its signature Funky Blue fumé dial to the model and making the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph part of the permanent collection.

Beneath the deceptively simple display is one of the watch's most important features. Developed with Agenhor, the automatic HMC 902 places both chronograph indications centrally, with elapsed seconds accompanied by an instantaneous jumping-minute hand rather than conventional subsidiary registers. Both indications also possess flyback functionality. Moving the automatic winding rotor to the dial side leaves the remarkably complex 434-component chronograph mechanism unobstructed through the sapphire case back. Combined with 120 metres of water resistance and an integrated steel bracelet, it makes the Streamliner a genuinely unusual fusion of independent watchmaking and everyday sports-watch functionality.
