Introduction
Inspired by the wristwatches that graced the 1940s and 1950s, the Habring2 Erwin Star is a charismatic timepiece that certainly makes a point of forging its own identity and not relying on contemporary design influences to appease collectors. With a deep blue dial, gold star-shaped hour markers and a large set of hands, the Erwin Star is legible and beautiful. Designed in collaboration with watch publication SJX, the Erwin Star is limited to just 50 pieces and is not a watch we see every day. Known for their tendency to create watches with unusual complications, Habring has taken on one of watchmaking's most notoriously tricky complications, the dead beat seconds, and fitted it to a redesigned Valjoux cal. 7750 movement that they repurposed entirely. With watchmaking history on its dial and within its polished steel 38.5mm case, this stunning watch celebrates a lot of what makes horology such an interesting industry while also celebrating innovation and its role in the modern industry.

Our Perspective
An impressive display of watchmaking talent from Habring with its dead beat seconds and a nostalgic design from SJX, the incredible watch publication, the Erwin Star is a stunning watch that has few modern peers, if any.
