Introduction

Launched in 2016 as an individually numbered limited edition of 21 pieces, the Habring x Timezone Erwin Jumping Seconds ref. TZ21 was designed by Timezone as a way to celebrate their 21st birthday. A simple three-hander at its core, the ref. TZ21 features plenty of interesting design motifs that ensure its wearer won't grow tired of checking the time. Featuring plenty of surface finishes on its two-tone sector dial and a deadbeat seconds hand, the ref. TZ21 is certainly not like a lot of other watches on the market, given how rare deadbeat seconds hands are due to their complexity. Perhaps one of watchmaking's premier 'if you know you know' complications, the dead beat seconds hand looks like it is quartz-powered, but as the TZ21 displays through its exhibition caseback, it is, in fact, mechanically powered by Habring's manually-wound cal. A11S movement.

An elegant timepiece packed full with Habring's identity as an independent watchmaker unfettered by the conventional demands of the watchmaking industry, the ref. TZ21 successfully celebrates watchmaking in its purest form.
