Introduction
While they might be best-known for their leather goods, Hermes have made large strides into the world of watchmaking thanks to watches like this, the H08. A fresh take on watch design, the H08 juggles aesthetics and wearability in interesting and unique ways. With comfort at the forefront of its design process, the H08 that we have here, the H08 Blue ref. W402990WW00, features a 42mm slightly rectangular case that, in this instance, is made of braided glass fiber composite and aluminum to ensure that it is both; black in color and extremely light and strong on the wrist. Topped with a satin-brushed and polished ceramic bezel with mirror-polished chamfers, the H08’s aesthetic is surprisingly bright for a blacked-out watch. Featuring a black gold-coated dial with blue accents to match its strap and a black color-matched date aperture at half-past-four, the H08’s monochromatic aesthetic proves that Hermes have their eyes on the prize with regards to paying attention to the details that watch collectors love.
