Introduction
Famed for creating some of horology’s most important and historically significant chronographs such as the Monaco, Carrera, Autavia and so on, there are a handful of models that seem to escape the attention of the masses even though they are still aesthetically unique, historically interesting, and mechanically impressive. One such example of that is the Camaro. Launched in 1968 and produced until 1972, the Camaro is a rare Heuer chronograph that features an unmistakable 1960s and 1970s design language that has resulted in it existing as a wonderful reminder of days long gone. Boasting a brown exotic dial with colorful orange accents alongside the practical utility of its trio of subdials, the Camaro embodies everything about 1970s Heuer. Fitted with a large cushion-shaped 39mm stainless steel case, the Camaro packs an impressive wrist presence that communicates just how brands combined legibility and style to create unique timepieces that could excite those who needed functional tools that said a little something about their personal taste all while delivering on what they needed from a practical perspective.

TIMING MACHINE READOUT
This reading was taken (crown down) with a ONEOF Accuracy Boutique Edition timing machine at time of cataloging. It is provided as a courtesy only, and shall not be construed as a warranty or guarantee of any kind. Please refer to our terms and conditions of sale for more information.
Condition
The watch is in overall excellent condition. The steel case shows some light surface scratches and marks. It retains its HEUER-signed winding crown. The brown dial is in excellent condition, featuring a vibrant orange tachymeter scale and crisp white printing. The hands are all very clean. The central hour and minute hands do not have the typical black inserts and are likely aftermarket or from a different model. There are some scuffs on the acrylic crystal. The watch is fitted with a brown leather strap and HEUER steel pin buckle, both in excellent condition.
Our Perspective
Punchy in terms of its overall styling, its physical construction, and its robust Valjoux movement, the Camaro was one of the poster children of Heuer's heyday, making it an icon amongst vintage chronograph aficionados today.
