Introduction
First launched in 1980, the Hublot Classic established the design language that continues to define the brand today, combining a porthole-inspired case with the unconventional pairing of precious metals and rubber. The modern Classic Fusion takes those original ideas and presents them in a more restrained form, making it particularly well suited to unusual dial materials.
Released in 2024 to celebrate 40 years of partnership between Hublot and The Hour Glass, the Classic Fusion Elements II comprises five hardstone and exotic-material dial variations: pink jasper, turquoise, nephrite jade, lunar meteorite and the sodalite version offered here. Limited to just 10 examples in each execution, this striking variant pairs a deep blue natural sodalite dial with a 42mm titanium case accented by King Gold details on the crown and bezel screws. With virtually no dial furniture beyond the Hublot signature and gold-tone hands, the natural colour, veining and inclusions of the stone become the focal point, ensuring that no two examples are exactly alike.

THE DIAL
Cut from natural sodalite, the dial combines rich indigo-blue colouring with distinctive lighter inclusions and veining unique to the individual piece of stone. With no hour markers or conventional minute track, its remarkably sparse execution allows the natural material to dominate the watch's appearance.
THE CONSTRUCTION
The 42mm titanium Classic Fusion case measures a relatively slender 10.4mm thick, with its familiar porthole-inspired bezel punctuated by King Gold screws and a matching gold crown. The combination of lightweight titanium, warm gold accents and the intense blue sodalite gives this limited edition a notably different character from the conventional Classic Fusion.

Condition
Watch is in overall near-mint condition. The titanium case shows signs of very careful wear, with a couple of surface scratches to the upper section of the case covering the strap end. The case back is very clean and retains well-defined engravings. The sodalite dial is in near-mint condition, with no cracks, and the hands are like new. It is fitted with a black leather strap and deployant clasp, both in near-mint condition. Comes with the inner and outer boxes and guarantee certificate.
Please Note: Due to CITES considerations, if the watch is to be shipped outside of the USA, the exotic skin strap will have to be removed.
Our Perspective
Hardstone dials have become an increasingly important part of contemporary watchmaking, but the minimalist architecture of the Classic Fusion makes particularly effective use of the material. Limited to just 10 examples, this sodalite Elements II combines one of the most visually compelling stones in the series with a restrained titanium and King Gold case, resulting in an unusually elegant interpretation of Hublot's signature design.
