Introduction
While he and his company ICON might be best-known for creating modern interpretations of all-time-great SUV designs by drawing inspiration from models made by Ford, Toyota, and a handful of other marques in the 1960s and '70s, Jonathan Ward took his design talents to the watchmaking industry in 2017 by creating the Duesey. Powered by an automatic Dubois Depraz cal. 14400 movement, the Duesey boasts jumping hour indicator and a wandering minute complication as inspired by a great vintage Duesenberg dashboard. Made from two different grades of titanium, the Duesey’s 42mm construction combines two different colors with dark lugs and a bright polished bezel that serves as the perfect complement for its jet-black stone onyx dial, which completes this wonderful timepiece’s unique construction and modernized design.

THE DIAL
Boasting a jet-black onyx stone dial, the Duesey's display contains only two interruptions, its jumping hour aperture at 12 o'clock and the wandering minutes aperture at 6 o'clock.
THE CONSTRUCTION
Made from different grades of titanium, the Duesey's 42mm construction is light on the wrist, and comes complete with a beautiful contrast between its brightly polished grade 2 bezel and dark grade 5 lugs.

Our Perspective
A self-funded passion project led by Jonathan Ward, the Duesey is an interesting timepiece that combines a rare complication with a stone dial and a two-tone titanium construction to create something we seldom see in watchmaking.
