Making his own watches from his workshop in Tel-Aviv in Israel since 2000, Itay Noy has become an established name in the world of made-to-order timepieces. Launched at Baselworld in 2015, Itay Noy debuted the Itay Noy Part Time as a limited edition collection of 4 colorways split with 24 pieces in each collection. However, a fifth colorway was added later with a two-tone blue and black dial, which is what we have here.. While it does feature a large 44.6mm stainless steel construction boasting a rather unique design with screw-bar lugs, six exposed screws across its thin brushed steel bezel and a winding crown at 4 o’clock, its dynamic dial is its most unusual feature. Known by Itay Noy as a dynamic dial, the two dial halves only operate from 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am and feature a sun and moon disc at nine and three o’clock to indicate which timeframe of the watch is “active”. When the yellow sun at the 9 o’clock position is out, the time shown in the aperture above it is the daytime and when the moon at 3 o’clock is shown the time in the aperture above it is night-time. The display is completed by a central minute dial, an extra hours dial at 5 o’clock, and a subsidiary seconds dial at 7 o’clock completes the timing indicators.
