Introduction
Tracing its origins as far back as WWII, the IWC Big Pilot collection has evolved into one of the watchmaker’s most emblematic timepieces. Featuring unwavering design language inspired by the B-Uhr pilot's watch worn by German pilots, the Luftwaffe, the Big Pilot collection has been defined bit its large 46-48mm diameter, oversized deeply knurled crown, and incredibly legible dial. However, its 46-48mm construction has certainly proven to be prohibitive for most collectors, and so in 2021, IWC launched a handful of smaller Big Pilot references, one of which being the ref. IW329304 that we have here. Featuring a 43mm diameter, the IW329304 is a considerably more wearable option for collectors that want to explore IWC’s historically-inspired pilot’s watches without having to wear something that simply won’t fit their wrist.
