Within horology is several different industries that all harbour close relationships with watchmakers and the tools they produce. From the diving industry to aviation to cave exploring, they have all turned to horology for tools they can depend on. However, one industry harbours a particularly close relationship with it, the automotive industry, with a long history of chronographs being used to time races and so on. As a way to celebrate that heritage, IWC and Mercedes-AMG joined forces in 2004 to create a collection of timepieces that pay homage to both brands’ heritage and position within their respective industries. Resulting from that collaboration has been a host of various watches, one of which being the IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph "AMG" Edition ref. IW377903 that we have here. Made of titanium and boasting a black carbon fiber dial, it features materials used in car racing for their incredible lightness and strength. The first Pilot’s Watch Chronograph in titanium, the ref. IW377903 wears much lighter on the wrist than one might expect given its 43mm diameter. Powered by the cal. 69385, a robust and precise chronograph movement the ref. IW377903 has everything one might need on the track. The Mercedes-AMG logo can even be found on the tinted sapphire crystal case back as one turns the watch over to admire the movement within. Tying Mercedes-AMG and IWC together, this incredibly sporty watch is capable of handling a tough time and tackling whatever is thrown its way.

Watch is in like new condition and appears to have been unworn.
